I sourced vintage 1970s French wine glasses for Mallory. They could have been a gift to her mother, from her husband or even her grandparents. I wanted a classy, simple wine glass that was also striking and visually interesting. I chose green as well to contrast the red wine and blend the kitchen colours.

I sourced this 50s-inspired amber glass jug to be the centre focus for the dinner scene and lemon water.

As glass like this can date back before the 40s, I feel this would be an heirloom to Mallory and is used for special occasions

I chose a yellow pot for the pasta to be cooked in, specifically to contrast the greens of the kitchen. Both pans were enamel, a common material used for these in the 70s. The pattern on the frying pan as well was commonly seen in the 70s. I liked this pan specifically as it contained all the colours of our colour scheme and would be one of the only items to travel between both living spaces.

These plates were to be the main plates for the meal scene. They are vintage 1950s green Pyrex dinner plates. Again, green was chosen to make the mince pop and to combine the two colour schemes. We felt Mallory wouldn’t buy new items

I picked out a variety of spices that fit Mallory’s colour scheme, as well as finding a vintage cooking timer in the shape of a lemon.
The Airbnb already had a load of Hornsea crockery items, a well-known vintage brand, that perfectly fit our aesthetic and colour scheme.
