Repaint
I bought a cheap, foam ‘replica’ of LUCILLE, completely stripped it back and repainted it. I went over the bat with different tones of brown to create wood grain, plus some weathering.
For the barbed wire, I twisted and spray painted string (to make it con-safe) and tied small pieces along the length to add the barbs.
This picture is the first pass of gore. I wanted to take inspiration from the Season 7 episode of Glenn’s death. Below is my process on this.
Gore
To make bits of scalp/skin I used liquid latex on a flat surface and ripped it up once it was dry, as latex is a pale skin tone anyway I didn’t have to paint it, just cover it in blood. The idea is for the blood, skin etc to be fresh.
For the hair clumps I used some leftover cuttings from a wig I had thinned out.
I painted red paint on the bat as a base coat for the fake blood I then added.
To create drips that would stay put, I used hot glue and dripped it down the wire and bat, then painted that with fake blood. The more blood the better for this project.
